Dr. Itai Kela is the Head of The Healthtech Sector in the Israel Innovation Authority. Dr. Kela role is to nurture and develop healthtech innovation resources, while creating and strengthening the infrastructure and framework needed to support the healthtech industry and its ecosystem to promote Israel economic growth. In the era of the Covid-19 epidemic crisis, Dr. Kela role is to build Israel national strategic preparedness and response plan to epidemic threats and to define the actions and infrastructures required to stop further transmission of Covid-19 within Israel and in order to be prepared to the next outbreak. Dr. Kela has developed the newly launched strategic program in the Israeli Innovation authority, the "Bio-convergence program", which defined as the next growth engine of the Israeli economy and serve as the scientific director of the Bio-convergence national program. Dr. Itai Kela has over 15 years of experience in leading product development programs, specializing in drug development, cell therapy, immune oncology and genomic based personalized medicine. Dr. Kela proficiency is characterization of market needs and trends to define strategic development path. Dr. Kela has a proven track record of meeting business development targets and led international collaborations with multinational corporations, research institutes and hospitals in the US and Europe. Before joining the Israel Innovation Authority, Dr. Kela held a variety of executive positions in healthtech fastgrowing companies, NRGene, Stem Cell Medicine and Protalix (NASDAQ:PLX). Dr. Itai Kela holds a PhD in cancer genomics and computational biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science and specialized in immune oncology and computational genomics from the Stanford University. Dr. Kela received “The Center of System Biology Award” from the Weizmann Institute of Science.

Dan has been a leader in the global healthcare technology industry for over 15 years, with experience spanning Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. to Israeli startups. Prior positions include CEO and President of Virtual Ports Inc., General Manager (EndoTool Clinical Decision Support Business Unit) and Director of Strategic Marketing for Hospira Worldwide, Inc., and senior positions at Johnson & Johnson (Ethicon and Ethicon EndoSurgery) and LifeWatch, Inc. He also enjoyed a 13-year career as an intelligence officer in the Israel Defense Forces.

Dan holds a Master’s in Business Administration, with Honors, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a Bachelor of the Arts, Cum Laude, in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Haifa, Israel.

Extensive experience in Life Science investments from seed stage to late-stage due diligence. Works closely with Peregrine’s portfolio companies with management mentoring and support in project management, strategic planning and business development. Prior to Peregrine Lior served as the Deputy Program Director of the Incubators Program. Lior serves on the Boards of Memic, Cordio, Magneto, Restore, Nitinotes, Sinusafe, Magnisity, Endostream. Holds an MBA from the Recanati School of Management - Tel Aviv University and a BA in Economics and Business Management from - University of Haifa.

Tsiel Ohayon has 15 years’ experience in the healthcare industry and over 30 years in the field of Enterprise Software in development and sales. Apart from Israel, Tsiel has lived in several countries including the USA, France, and Japan.

As part of his work in the healthcare industry, Tsiel has worked on enabling several Population Health projects internationally and has worked in many challenging Population Health (PH) projects whether local, regional, statewide or at a national level. He has guided project teams architect PH projects, based on analysis of client requirements, and needs, including the South West Sydney PHN in Australia, Salford Royal Trust and Dudley Trust in the UK PH projects.

Tsiel holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology, Technion.

He is also President of the Board at Health in Code company leader in Genetic Diagnostic in Spain, and also member of the European Society of Cardiology.

He recently retired from Medtronic after 25 years as European Regional Vice-president and President of Medtronic Spain, Portugal and France. During his latest years in Medtronic he led the transformation to a solutions company, under the new paradigm of Value Based Health Care.

Previously he served as General Manager at HP Spain Medical Division for 17 years.

He served 20 years as Vice-president of the Spanish Health Care Industry Association (FENIN), 8 years as President of the FENIN Tecnologia y Salud Foundation and he was a member of the Spain-USA Business Council for 6 years.

Currently, he is also member of the HM Hospitals Research Foundation and of the Spanish Federation of Scientific and Medical Associations Foundation (FACME).

Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare (1954) is presently the Presidential Advisor on Health, at the Office of the President of Ghana. Having worked in leadership roles as Medical Superintendent at District hospital, Medical Director at the Regional hospital, Chief Executive Officer at the Teaching Hospital, and Director General of Ghana Health Service, Dr. Nsiah-Asare has created a balance of strategic, operational, business,  clinical and health system reform expertise. He is an alumni of the Boston University, School of Public Health in USA where he obtained his Certificate in Management Methods in International Health. He is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS), Ghana College of Surgeons, (FGCS) and the International College of Surgeons (FICS). He is also a Fellow of Ghana Medical Association. She also liaised and operated the funds and collaborations with the International Financial Development Institutions Israel is a member of, such as the World Bank. Prior joining the Ministry, Noa was spend 3 years in NY, USA and 2 years in Cape Town, SA, developing global Jewish leadership. Dr. Benji Ozynski is a medical doctor who graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand. Meni has over 15 years of experience working in the Medical Device and Healthcare IT industries. Meni holds a BS in Computer Sciences from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management - Northwestern University. Meni spent a decade in a variety of senior roles at Abbott Diagnostics working on their state of the art informatics offering, design and commercialization, as well as in Digital Health Product Management, R&D, and Business Development. Meni also served as the Chief Software Architect for the Abbott Informatics Division. Most recently, Meni spent several years at CareDox, serving as the Chief Product Officer designing innovative Cloud and Mobile platforms to transform pediatrics.
