Harold (Hal) Wolf III is the President and CEO of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), a mission-driven non-profit global advisor and thought leader supporting the reform of the global health ecosystem through the power of information and technology.

With a membership of 80,000 around the world, HIMSS serves the global health communities with focused operations across North America, Europe, United Kingdom, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. 

Wolf is respected internationally as a healthcare and informatics leader, with areas of expertise in mhealth, product development, integrated care models, marketing, distribution, information technology and large-scale innovation implementation.

Before joining HIMSS, Wolf served at The Chartis Group as Director; Practice Leader of Information and Digital Health Strategy. Prior to The Chartis Group, he served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Kaiser Permanente’s, The Permanente Federation, representing more than 16,000 physicians. Wolf also held executive positions at MTV Networks, Time Warner, and served as a Senior Advisor to McKinsey & Co.

Avner Halperin is an entrepreneur and executive in the fields of Digital Health and Big Data Analytics. He is Chairman of the Board at EyeControl – winner of the Genesis Award for significant contribution to helping battle COVID-19.  In addition, he leads Global ARC and City of Health Innovation for Sheba Medical Center – ranked as one of the Top 10 Best Hospitals in the world.  Previously, he was CEO of EarlySense for 15 years - bringing the company from the idea stage to over 1,000,000 patients served.  Prior to that, Avner was CEO of Emmunet, VP Marketing at Radcom (NASDAQ: RDCM), and R&D team leader at Eldat Communications (acquired by Pricer(PRIC.ST)).  Earlier, he was Department Head of an R&D Unit in the Israeli Defence Forces Intelligence Corps where he won the Intelligence Innovation Award.

Avner earned an M.Sc. in Applied Physics from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan Fellows Executive MBA Program.  He has been teaching courses on Economics and Entrepreneurship in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv University.  His research papers and 33 US Patents have been cited over 3,700 times.

Prof. Arnon Afek is the Associate Director General, the Acting Director of Sheba General Hospital and the Chairman of the Department of Medical Administration at Sheba Medical Center. He assumed these positions after completing his tenure as the Director General (DG) and the Associate Medical DG of the Israeli Ministry of Health (2014-17). In the MOH, Prof Afek led the reforms in Mental Care, the regulation of Cannabis for medical use and public transparency in the publishing the outcomes of hospitals "Quality Indicators".

For his outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the Israeli Healthcare system, he received in 2019, the "Ot Yakir Hamedina", the highest award given each year to two senior civil servants.

In 2020 he was chosen as a member of the National Corona Professional Advisory Board, taking an active role in consulting the national corona supervisor on national health policy.

He is the Founding Chairman of the National Council on Pathology and Forensic Medicine.

In 2015, Prof. Afek was personally appointed as a member of the Bureau of Governors of the OECD Health Committee, taking a role in designing health policy in the OECD.

Since 2011, Prof. Afek serves as the Director of the NY State/American MD Program and Professor of Public Health at the Sackler School of Medicine and the Coller School of Management at Tel Aviv University.
He is a Visiting Professor at the Nicosia University Medical School, Cyprus.

In 2018, Prof Afek was nominated the Chairman of the Israeli Medical Association World Federation (IMA WF) and in 2019, he was elected the Chairman of the Association of Hospitals' Directors.

Previously, Prof. Afek was the Director of Medical Affairs, Acting Head of the Emergency Services of the Israeli Ministry of Health (2012-2014) and the Deputy Director of Sheba General Hospital (2007-2012).

Prof. Afek is a Colonel (Res) and a member of the IDF-MC Helsinki (IRB) Committee. He has previously served as the Head of Occupational Medicine and Medical Classification Branches as well as the Chairman of the Department of Medical Administration at the IDF Medical Corps (2004-7).

Dr. Arnon Afek received his medical training at the Hebrew University and Hadassah School of Medicine (1981-1987), residency in Anatomical Pathology at the Sheba Medical Center and fellowship in Medical Administration (Board Certified Cum Laude) at the Sheba Medical Center and at the Ministry of Health.
He completed M.A in Health Administration Cum Laude at Ben-Gurion University (2000-2002).

He is a graduate of the Wexner Senior Leadership Executive Program (WSLP 16), Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Prof. Afek has published more than 150 peer reviewed papers in medical journals such as NEJM, JAMA, Lancet and Circulation and has received numerous awards, including the Tel Aviv University Rector's Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Kellerman Award and the Goldberg Award, both for research in Cardiology; the Israel National Quality Award (twice) and the Award of Excellence in Military Medicine.

He chaired the Committee that recommended the establishment of the new Sheldon & Miriam Adelson Medical School in Ariel University.

In 2016, he received the Israeli Civil Service Commission Award for reducing bureaucracy in physician licensing and Quality Improvement Award for advancing quality of care in Neonatal Units throughout Israel.

In 2017, Prof Afek was awarded the Society for Patients' Rights in Israel Certificate of Recognition for his contribution to patient's healthcare in reforming Mental Healthcare in Israel.

He lecturers at numerous medical conferences and delivered The John M. Eisenberg, M.D. International Lecture at The Commonwealth Fund's 18th Annual International Symposium on Health Care Policy.

He is married to a Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Limor Afek. They live in Rosh Ha’ayin with their two children Shahar and Oren. 

Michal is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Triventures and brings over 25 years of experience in medtech and digital health in Israel and the U.S. She co-founded Triventures in 2010 to provide what was then missing in the ecosystem- a deep understanding of commercial integration of innovative technologies into the healthcare system. Triventures was one of the first funds in to focus on digital health in Israel and Michal was the first woman to found and manage a venture capital firm in Israel. Since founding Triventures, Michal has grown the fund into a multi-stage investment platform and industry leader.

Prior to launching Triventures, Michal served for many years in the healthcare start-up ecosystem and held multiple executive positions with GI View, Advanced Stent Technologies (acquired by Boston Scientific), ByPass, TriReme Medical (IPO) andothers. Michal ran several business departments from operations to regulatory and marketing and helped scale and steer the companies towards successful exits.

In 2017, Michal was recognized as one of the 50 most influential women in Israel by Globes, Israel’s leading financial journal and in 2011 she was recognized as one of the 40 most promising leaders in Israel by The Marker, Israel’s leading business journal. With a hands-on approach, Michal is involved in all the fund’s major decisions, leads investments and serves as an active board member in the majority of the portfolio companies.

John D. Halamka, M.D., M.S., president of the Mayo Clinic Platform, leads a portfolio of platform businesses focused on transforming health care by leveraging artificial intelligence, connected health care devices and a network of trusted partners.

Trained in emergency medicine and medical informatics, Dr. Halamka has been developing and implementing health care information strategy and policy for more than 25 years.

Prior to his appointment at Mayo Clinic, he was chief information officer at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he served governments, academia and industry worldwide. He is a practicing emergency medicine physician.

As the International Healthcare Innovation Professor at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Halamka helped the George W. Bush administration, the Obama administration and governments around the world plan their health care information strategies.

Dr. Halamka completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco, and pursued graduate work in bioengineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his residency at Harbor — UCLA Medical Center in the Department of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Halamka has written a dozen books about technology-related issues, hundreds of articles and thousands of posts on the Geekdoctor blog. He was elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2020. He and his wife also run Unity Farm Sanctuary in Sherborn, Massachusetts – the largest animal sanctuary in New England, which includes 300 animals, 30 acres of agricultural production and a cidery.
